Pro meter priorities for laboratories
Legal Shield — эLegal Shield is not a slogan; it’s our operating discipline. We combine metrological accuracy with the legal integrity of your processes — from purchasing reference materials and standards to checking certificate validity/status, traceability requirements, and contract compliance.
- • Legal cleanup of supplies and documents (certificates, traceability, expiry dates, compliance). • Projects and methods with metrological and legal audit. • Protection of the laboratory’s interests in tenders and during external assessments.

Introduction
We are hands-on metrology engineers. We bring together processes, documents, and evidence of competence so your laboratory passes external assessments with confidence and works without time pressure. We prepare methods, templates, uncertainty budgets, protocols, and traceability routes end-to-end. The legal part is not an add-on but a built-in element of every solution (Legal Shield).
Pro meter priorities for laboratories
Accuracy and reproducibility. Stable day-to-day results; dispersion control at the level of methods and procedures.
Full traceability. References, certificates, statuses, due dates — one audit-ready matrix.
Legal integrity of documents (Legal Shield). Correct wording, up-to-date standard references, valid certificates.
Digitalisation and due-date control. Unified templates, catalogues, dashboards — fewer manual errors.
Team training. Short practical modules (error/uncertainty, rounding, protocols, CAPA) — the system works without “manual heroics”. Clear rules of application.
What we do for laboratories
• Preparation for accreditation and scope extension.
• Development of applied measurement methods.
• Error and uncertainty calculations and validation (Excel templates — on request).
• Calibration/verification protocols. Full editable versions — on request.
• Internal audits: metrology + documentation + Legal Shield.
• Selection/supply of instruments, references, and certified reference materials (CRM).
• Design/engineering of calibration/verification benches (with SIA Olimps).
• LIMS and digitalisation of protocols/records.
Technical service of custody-transfer systems — our current priority
Pro meter’s current focus is service and support of custody-transfer systems (oil, refined products, gas). We maintain a core set of reference standards (pressure, temperature, flow, mass/volume, electrical quantities). Missing items are quickly sourced from accredited labs (ISO/IEC 17025). Work is performed on site: measurements, calibration/verification of sensors and channels, verification of algorithms/configurations, repeatability checks, and uncertainty evaluation. We deliver signed protocols/acts with legal protection (service contract, NDA if required — Legal Shield).
ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation & scope extension
• Electronic working protocols for calibration/verification of measuring equipment.
• Error and uncertainty evaluation with proper budget allocation — enables modelling of the production process (new).
• Traceability matrix: references, certificates, recall schedules, statuses.
• Staff training: accuracy vs uncertainty; application and specifics of the core formula.
• “Mock assessment” visit: checklists, record tracing, corrective actions.
Methods & uncertainty
• We develop applied methods and “live” uncertainty budgets tailored to your measurements (temperature, pressure, density, level, volume/flow, etc.).
• Output: Measurement Method with scope and acceptance criteria.
• Excel templates for error/uncertainty calculation with explanations and examples — on request.
• Protocol examples with correct presentation of result and uncertainty.
• Tip-sheet on typical pitfalls (coverage factor, accuracy vs uncertainty, rounding).
Calibration / verification protocols
• Complete set of conditions and corrections; consideration of repeatability and statistics.
• Correct units and rounding rules.
• Tolerance logic and clear “conforms / does not conform” conclusions.
• Ready for LIMS integration; preparation for interlaboratory comparisons.
• Example areas: temperature, pressure, density, level, volume/flow.
Metrological internal audit. Expert recommendations.
• Traceability: reference chains, certificate validity, calibration/verification statuses.
• Document control: procedure versions, change management, completeness of records.
• Contracts & purchasing: CRM requirements, storage/transport conditions.
• Risks & CAPA: identification, assessment, corrective and preventive actions. Equipment, references & CRMs (SI/CO/CRM)
— Technical requirements and specifications; vendor comparison.
— Selection of CRMs for the required ranges and uncertainties.
— Storage/transport organisation and due-date control.
— Calibration/verification roadmap and due-date dashboards.
LIMS & digitalisation
— Standardised Word/Excel templates with format protection.
— Unified nomenclature: instruments, references, CRMs, units, procedures.
— Export/import to LIMS or interim databases; minimal manual entry.
— Seamless flow “method → measurement → protocol → record → report”.
Stages of work
Request & input data — instrument/channel list, requirements (GOST/ISO/OIML), ranges, points, tolerances.
Method preparation — selection/adaptation, calibration/verification plan, protocol forms.
Field work — on-site calibration/verification by Pro meter engineers (incl. FAT/SAT where applicable).
Analysis & documentation — protocols, uncertainty evaluation, tuning and nonconformity remediation advice.
Accredited laboratory — we forward protocols to an accredited metrology lab; together we verify compliance with legal and applied metrology and issue the Calibration/Verification Certificate.
What you get
• Calibration/verification protocols (RU/EN).
• Metrological analysis: measurement-chain model, errors/uncertainty, recommendations.
• Calibration/Verification Certificate from an accredited laboratory.
• Recommendations on settings, tolerances and periodicity.
FAQ
What is the difference between “error” and “uncertainty”, and what should be shown in protocols?
Error is the deviation from the true value (unknown at the moment of measurement). Uncertainty is an estimate of the interval that contains the true value. Protocols shall present the result with uncertainty and the measurement conditions.
Can accreditation be done fast?
Fast — when processes, records and traceability are arranged in advance. We close gaps and prepare the laboratory for assessors without time pressure.
Do you work only with oil & gas?
No. The approach is universal: temperature, pressure, density, chemical analysis, energy efficiency, etc. Oil & gas is our deepest experience, but not the only one.
What if part of the measurements are not yet covered by the scope?
We prepare methods, records and competence evidence; compile the scope-extension package and support you until status is granted.
