We rejected a high-profile project due to non-compliance with Russian legal calibration schemes — despite administrative pressure. Instead, we promoted UZR for leak detection systems, where metrological traceability is not legally required, showcasing a perfect match of technology and task. -
✅ ⚙️ New custody transfer scheme with Emerson (Ventspils, 2004)
We proposed a bold new configuration by separating the densitometer from the prover base. Despite lack of factory certification, we got it approved by national institutes (VNIIR, VNIIMS) through direct technical guarantees — a breakthrough in Russian certification policy. -
✅ 💡 Eliminating the turbine comparator (Daniel compact prover)
We proved that for 24” size compact provers, Coriolis meters could be calibrated without the turbine comparator — reducing system uncertainty. Emerson confirmed the idea technically, and we documented it with a new calibration protocol. -
✅ 🔁 Adapting algorithms for gas metering station “Korneti”
We rewrote quantity and quality calculation algorithms for transnational gas flow. Final versions were approved by D.I. Mendeleev Institute and recognized by EU metrology agencies — making international trade legally safe. -
✅ 🔬 Largest ultrasonic gas meter at Inčukalns UGS
We participated in the commissioning of Europe’s largest ultrasonic gas metering block. Technical tuning and start-up of such high-capacity lines required direct collaboration with manufacturers and state inspectors. -
✅ 🚆 Fully automated loading platform (Ventspils Nafta Terminal)
We designed and implemented a custody-grade railcar loading station — with 29 Coriolis meters, 16 flow computers, and 100% unmanned fiscal reporting. This project became an incubator for new-generation engineers. -
✅ 💣 Strategic automation upgrade (NH3 terminal “Ventamonjaks”)
Without redesigning the process, we optimized compressor control using advanced PLC logic. Result: +10% energy efficiency and full modernization of operator interfaces — all within existing legal framework. -
